Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup natural-style chunky peanut butter
- 1 tsp. Watkins Vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. baking cocoa (adds flavor)
- 1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. Watkins Sea Salt
- 2 cups flour
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl cream together the butter, shortening and sugars. Mix in eggs, peanut butter and vanilla. In separate bowl, sift together the cocoa, salt, baking soda and flour. Add this to the butter and sugar mixture, beating well. Chill dough for about an hour; then roll into balls using a rounded tablespoon of dough for each. Roll the balls in additional sugar and place on greased cookie sheets. Flatten with fork. Bake for 8-12 minutes depending on desired crispness. Makes 4-5 dozen cookies.
