Spiced Pepper Beef Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85/15 preferred for flavor)
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium or regular)
  • 1 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame)
  • Cooked white rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat: In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tbsp oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the beef: Add the ground beef to the pan. Break it up with a spatula and cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the peppers: Toss in the sliced bell peppers. Stir-fry the beef for 3-4 minutes, until the peppers are just tender but still vibrant.
  4. Season: Sprinkle in the onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir well to evenly coat the meat and Spiced Pepper Beef Stir-Fry peppers.
  5. Sauce it up: Pour in the soy sauce and sauté everything together for another 1-2 minutes, letting the flavors meld and the sauce slightly thicken.
  6. Serve: Scoop the stir-fry over hot steamed rice or noodles.
  7. Optional finishing touch: Show off that perfect bite-use a fork to lift a glistening piece of beef and pepper from the plate.
