Watkins Refund Policy

We want you to be pleased with your Watkins products. So, if you are not satisfied – for whatever reason- with your purchase on Watkins1868.com, please call 1-800-243-9423 Monday-Thursday 8 am-5 pm, Friday 8:00 am-4:00pm CT or email via Contact Us.

If you purchased the product from a retail store, please contact the store directly for their return policy. If you purchased the product from a Watkins Independent Consultant, contact the Consultant for product returns.

Requesting a Refund

To obtain a refund for the Watkins items you purchased at Watkins1868.com, please send an e-mail through the  Contact Us Form with your request for a refund or an exchange within 30 days of your original purchase or contact us toll free at 1-800-243-9423 Monday-Thursday 8 am-5 pm Central Time, or Friday 8 am-4 pm Central Time.

Unfortunately, returns cannot be authorized for products purchased from other on-line vendors. We are also unable to accept returns or offer refunds for limited edition, discontinued or sale items.

Consultants only: Watkins does not require Consultants to keep stock or place orders every month, and therefore we do not accept inventory returns. Damaged Packages

When your order arrives, please inspect the package for any damage that may have occurred during shipment. If damage occurred to the item(s) in your shipment, please contact us immediately at 1-800-243-9423 Monday-Thursday 8 am-5 pm, Friday 8 am-4 pm CT, or simply fill in the Contact Us Form.

Please provide the order number along with your email address and phone number for fastest service. To assure prompt resolution, please retain the shipping box, packing materials and the damaged items for inspection by the carrier.

Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy for Watkins1868.com Purchases

In the U.S., please allow approximately 5-14 business days for delivery. Orders shipping to Canada, please allow approximately 4-14 business days for delivery. Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, or APO/FPO addresses, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.

  • Primary shipping carriers are UPS or DHL Smartmail in the US. Purolator and Canada Post for Canada. Carrier selection is on the discretion of Watkins.
  • Large size orders may require different shipping methods based on Watkins discretion and may take up to 2 weeks for delivery.
  • Backorders: Watkins does not take backorders on out of stock items. If a product you try to order is unavailable, we will provide the approximate date we expect it back in stock and you can place the item on your next order once it becomes available. You will have an option to receive an email notice once an out of stock product is available. A notice will be sent directly to you via email letting you know the product is now available to order.
  • Shipping/Handling: Applicable tax will apply.

Please allow extra time for processing and shipments during the Holiday Season.
For regular ground service (US & CA) deadline date for ordering is December 5th.
For overnight service (by 10:00 a.m. US Only) deadline date for ordering is December 19th.

Expedited Shipping:

At this time, overnight service is only available in the US through our toll-free Order Department. For rushed delivery, please call 1-800-Watkins (928-5467), Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm CT. An operator will be more than happy to assist you. Rush orders cannot be placed online. An additional charge will apply.

Shipping Regulations With Hazardous Products
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, and APO/FPO Addresses.

Hazardous products cannot be shipped to these remote locations in Canada.

What products cannot be shipped to California?

At this time 02351 Menthol Lavender Drops cannot be shipped to California. This product does not meet California VOC (volatile organic compound) regulations.

What if my products arrive frozen?

If your products do arrive frozen, this will not harm the product.  Please let the item thaw in room temperature for 48 hours.  Depending on the item, it may need to be shaken to appear in normal consistency.

Does Watkins use BPA-free plastic bottles?

We are committed to making products that are safe and environmentally friendly. All of our packaging is comprised of BPA-free plastics, and we do not source packaging that may contain BPA. Watkins plastic bottles are also recyclable, and we are committed to using minimal packaging made from environmentally-friendly materials.

What is the "Best If Used By Date" on Watkins Gourmet products?

According to the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), which is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), a "Best If Used By (or Before)" indicates when you will enjoy the best flavor and quality. It is not a purchase-by or safety-related date.

Where is the alcohol in your extracts derived?

The alcohol used in our extracts is corn derived.

What is the difference between Watkins Extracts and Flavorings?

Extracts – For Watkins, there are two types of extracts, Pure and Blends.

  1. Pure Extracts are products where the Flavor comes from an extracting process of the named extract. The extracting process can take on a variety of methods like cold pressing.
  2. Extracts are products where the taste comes from a combination of extracts and natural flavors. The blend is used to ensure the highest quality flavor.
    1. Flavorings – For Watkins, flavors are products where the flavor comes from natural flavors. The reason that there are flavors instead of all extracts is that some flavors are a complicated blend that do not exist in nature in a pure state. An example of this would be our Bubble Gum flavor, the taste of Bubble Gum comes from a combination of natural flavors.
    2. Emulsions - Emulsions are flavors where the base of the formula is water or oil where traditional extracts the base is alcohol. Extracts and flavors are multi-functional and can work in a variety of recipes and applications where emulsions tend to only work well in batters. Watkins does not offer any emulsions as we have found extracts do a superior job of delivering consistent high quality flavors.


Are your products tested on animals?

Watkins does not conduct or commission any animal testing in the safety assessments of our ingredients, formulations, finished products or any new product formulations.

Are Watkins products Gluten-Free?

The term "gluten" refers to proteins that occur naturally in wheat, rye, barley and cross-bred hybrids of these grains. Products that do not contain these grains or derivatives of these grains are naturally gluten-free.  Most Watkins products, including natural personal care, natural home care, gourmet spices, extracts, pepper and grinders are free of these grains, therefore are naturally gluten-free.

What does the Kosher symbol by some of your products mean?

Some Watkins products have been certified Kosher by officials of the Jewish faith. The specific symbol appearing on our products represents the organization that has certified our products -- the Upper Midwest Kashrut Association

Where do I find personal care, home care and remedy products?
Watkins1868.com website is carrying only the Gourmet food related products.

If you wish to order personal care, home care and remedies, please refer to JRWatkins.com website. These are two separate companies and you will have two separate orders if you want to order both food and non-food related products.

You were issued a Watkins ID number when you joined.  Your ID number will appear on your order invoice or confirmation emails. Customers can also find their ID on the back cover of their catalog.

How do I sign in?

Click "Sign In / Create Account" at the top of the page and a pop-up box will appear with instructions.

What is my Password?

If you previously created a Watkins account but you have forgotten your password, proceed to Account Sign-In and click on “Forgot Password?” You will need to provide the email address that you used when you created the account to reset your password.

How do I join as a Watkins Consultant?

Go to www.Watkins1868.com  and click on the applicable country flag (US or Canada).  Then click on “Sign In/Create an Account” on the upper right hand side of the page. Click “Join Watkins as a Consultant.”

How do I cancel my membership as a Watkins Consultant?

To cancel your membership, please send your request by submitting the Contact Us Form

How do I renew my membership?

You can renew online through your Consultant Dashboard/My Account or by calling the Order Department at 1-800-928-5467, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., CT. If your membership has been expired for more than 6 months, you will need to rejoin as a Consultant.

How do I change the address or email that Watkins has on file for me?

To change any of the details stored in your account profile, sign in to your Watkins1868 account, where you have the option to edit your name, email, account settings, and shipping info. To update your Billing Address, please call 1-800-928-5467.

How can I get a catalog?

New customers can get a free catalog by filling out the order catalog form on our website.

How do I find your products locally?

If you would like to purchase your favorite Watkins products locally in the US or Canada you can find many stores in your area that carry our products using our store locator. There are many benefits to shopping with a Watkins Consultant. Can I cancel my order?

Since it is our priority to process your order in a timely manner, once the order is placed, we are unable to cancel the order. Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges section (above) or contact us by submitting the Contact Us Form or call us at 1-800-243-9423 for return options.

Can changes be made to an order once it has been placed?

For timely processing, all orders are immediately sent to our shipping department. Therefore, we cannot change an order once it had been placed. This includes products, product quantities, addresses and payment options.

Why can I not find my favorite product any longer?

A full listing of our current products can be found online at www.Watkins1868.com.  If the product you are looking for cannot be found, this means the product was discontinued. There are various factors that may contribute to the reason we discontinue a product, such as low sales or a component no longer available.

What if an item I try to purchase is out of stock?

Watkins does not take backorders on out of stock items. If a product you try to order is unavailable, we will provide the approximate date we expect it back in stock and you can place the item on your next order once it becomes available. You will have an option to receive an email notice once an out of stock product is available. A notice will be sent directly to you via email letting you know the product is now available to order.

Will I receive confirmation that my order has been accepted?

Yes. After submitting your order, you will see a Purchase Confirmation screen, which you may want to print for your records. You also will receive an email confirmation with information on how to track delivery of your package.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?

Please allow up to four business days for order processing and 5-14 business days for shipping in the US.

Canada order processing takes 4 business days and depending on location can take anywhere from 4-14 business days to arrive.

How do I track my order?

To track a shipment, contact the Customer Satisfaction Assurance Team or sign in to your Watkins1868 account. Go to the account details page where you can see the status of all your current and past orders.

Can I ship internationally?

At this time we currently don’t sell or ship our products internationally outside of the United States and Canada. Please make sure to check out our website for future product offerings and distribution.

How will my order be delivered?

In the U.S., any packages under 12 pounds is delivered DHL Smartmail. Packages over 12 pounds is delivered UPS Ground. Please note that UPS cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.

Most deliveries to Canada come from Purolator. However, in some locations we use Canada Post.

What if I would like to have my package delivered overnight?

At this time, overnight service is only available in the US through our toll-free Order Department. For rushed delivery, please call 1-800-Watkins (928-5467), Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 p.m., CT. One of our Order Entry Operators will be happy to process your order. Additional fee will be applied.

How do I order products that are offered as a Buy One, Get One?

Add the qualifying product to your order first. During checkout, when reviewing your cart, click on the red bar that says, "Click Here to View Special Offers." Select "add to cart" the products offered on special that you would like to purchase. For example: if the special is buy one Hand Soap at regular price, get a second Hand Soap at 50% off, you would order one Hand Soap, then during checkout, view the special offer to add the second Hand Soap to your order at the special price.

What if I want to place an order for a quantity of 1,000 each for a product?
